WHAT WE DO |
"Karen's Climb" Foundation is a Nashua, New Hampshire-based, 100% volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to assisting families and individuals affected by cystic fibrosis. The majority of our funds have been used to provide temporary financial assistance to families throughout Northern New England by obtaining medicines and medical supplies; providing fuel, food and transportation; keeping telephone services intact; and averting eviction from homes. When necessary, we also assist in relief of the financial burden of double-lung transplant expenses.
|
COMMUNITY SERVICES PROVIDED |
Since 1985, the Foundation has provided assistance to families throughout Northern New England. When all other resources have been exhausted, and the family has nowhere else to turn, "Karen's Climb" tries to help.
The majority of referrals come from professional social services caseworkers, including hospitals, state and federal agencies, and the State Bureau of Special Medicines. Most requests reflect day-to-day needs that are beyond the scope of the traditional public assistance. Financial information on the categories of support provided is shown below.
